FLOORPLAN

IMPLEMENTING

I decided to use your San Diego print as the color inspiration for the room, keeping the nice warm wood, and earthy flax tones, but softening it up with lots of interesting textures! The layout is pretty simple, with the new bench going in between the two doors, under the San Diego print. I think it would look best to move the collection of family photos into the corner with the new chair and lamp (making a cozy lounge area).  I would hang the new mirror above the dresser, with the white lacquer tray on top to bring some white to that side of the room, and brighten up the dresser. You can layer the tray with a stack of books, jewelry dish, and/or small potted plant for a finished look.

I chose two matching rope lamps for the nightstands, but gave you a few options if you'd like to do mismatched lamps. The beach photograph for above the bed was taken in San Diego, and I thought the colors, as well as the ocean vibe might fit your lifestyle well.

For your bed, I added Euro shams to go behind your current king shams, and a long custom lumbar pillow to be placed in front of your king shams, so the look is more pulled together and complete. I love the colors in the bedding and the blanket layered across the bottom! I think this room is going to be such a relaxing place to be in.

The new, revised design floor plan has two options for sideboards in the mirrored style similar to what you like, and two options for the hutch that tie the table and sideboard together. I removed the settee altogether, enlarged the rug, and switched the lamp to better suit the new sideboard.

The chair and rug are splurges ;) But there are cheaper options for each if preferred! The rug can be positioned horizontally under the bed and toward the foot of the bed.

I noticed animal print shop prints in the nursery and selected the flamingo series for above the bed. You could either do one big one or a smaller set of three. They'll still need to be framed and matted to fill out the space or you could reuse your other frames. The "For Like Ever" print is large scale and will fill out the wall above the desk.

The rug helps tie in all of the colors of the bedding as well as the accent color pink. The pom pom curtains help soften the window and add a touch of whimsy. Love this bookcase because it is modern, versatile and fun. It will fill out the space on the opposite walls of the window nicely.
